Aria

Aria is a strong personality, and dare the pun be made, has a strong voice. Sponsored by the staunchly anti-bonding Onessa, she has solidified her place at Onessa’s side: her greatest confidante, but also, her closest questioner. Aria doesn’t feel that bonding is necessarily always a negative, and she and Onessa will get into great rows about this at times, but they agree staunchly on the exploitative nature of traditional bonding arrangements in Weyrs, Castles, and some Niduses.

She has been better at proselytizing for the cause than Onessa ever was, too, which earns her further kudos from her sponsor although Aria’s take is less hardline. She has a particular charisma that the two-headed dragoness doesn’t have, and has learned to be an exceptional public speaker, with a musical cadence and a deep, commanding voice.

Part of her advocacy is encouraging other dragons to care for each other, rather than relying on humans. This comes from a very personal place. Raised with her brother by an aunt, biological family has more import to Aria than it does to most dragons, and she will allow certain transgressions by those related to her that would ear great bile from her in others.

To abolish bonding as the standard method of dragons finding a caretaker. To find a way for bonds to be safely broken when they need to be. To uplift and care for her family.
