Marbas Thain

The question of whether he’s literally Ninetailth’s nephew is an open one, probably to be decided by whether alternate-unvierse clones of her brother are technically also her brother. Regardless, Marbas came to the Firecaverns under that pretense, and was welcomed in the same spirit.

Though he is not actually a staid personality, compared to a lot of the more explosive or bombastic personalities in the Caverns, Marbas takes his time and considers his moves. He’s uncanny sharp, those flat red eyes catching everything around him, and he has a good mind for systems. In this case, it’s the systems of the caverns; though at first he bowed to Ninetailth’s ascendancy fully and demured from taking any particular authority, over time he seems to be taking on a role of organizer. He moves residents around the caverns, finding places where they’re needed or simply where they’d fit better.

He does not mince words, either: whether he’s incapable of lying or simply fully dedicated to radical honesty, this dragon has apparently never told a lie. He chooses his moments to speak and be silent, certainly, but if asked a direct question he’ll answer honestly and damn any chaos that might result.
