When a person grows up in a household where both their parents sing while cooking dinner and dance embarrasingly in public, one generally either follows the mould or go the complete opposite direction.
Airik has made a fair play at doing both.
Shy but boisterous in unguarded moments, disciplined but still full of softness and a real sense of wonder for the world, Airik is a practice in contraditions. He cares, he tries hard, he thinks too much about what other people think of him. He’s tender-hearted and a bit weak-willed when it comes to his own opinions, but if he thinks he has to do something, he can be intensely analytical and efficient. What it comes down to is a certain lack of faith in the validity of his own self, and so an automatic, unconscious internalization of other peoples’ priorities — and yet there’s some deeper part of himself that pushes back against this, in small gestures of self-love and self-affirmation.
He also loves birds, his gentler nature lending itself well to helping raise the kind of bright, twittering pets that do well in human households. He helps his dad raise and care for the small aviary they’ve made in their home, and he’ll talk to birds like he rarely talks to people. He has a knack for teaching tricks and instilling training in small animals.
5’7”, dark brown skin, textured black hair, roundish build, small nose, warm deep-set eyes.
This is a dragon who likes things to be in their proper places. He’s patient, meticulous, keen of eye, and he has opinions. This, he covers up by being fairly low-key, but the truth is he’s implacable. He knows how things should be done, and he’ll get them done by dint of persistence if wit and charm don’t work. Where Airik lacks self-confidence in his own opinons, Kvetath bolsters that lack without thinking a bit of it — and he does tend to think the world of his bond’s ideas.
Kyetath is the oldest, and the most mature. Or so he says. He has the sneaks of a Dark Court dragon, and the smarts. He values family and loyalty, and will probably be the one dragon who is in constant communication with his clutch mates and his original court. He will use whatever he has at his disposal to make sure Haliseth is happy— she is “his queen”, after all.
(the others hatched at Traditional Clutch #3 are liable to be siblings, but it was a mess of a frenzy and no one’s quite sure who belonged to whom upon hatching!)
