Rah’ is the third of the very odd group of dragonets that Onessa sponsored from the Fur and Feathers Frenzy, but of the three he seems to be the most normal kind of weird. He is indecisive and anxious, and often argues with himself between his two heads, regardless of how this can look to other people. When he does make a decision it’s often an impulsive one, at which point he can panic and run to the safe harbour of Onessa, or Ganeen, or Veretus, in the hopes that the problem will be fixed for him.

He’s had a hard time coming to terms with his identity — by genetics he’s a clutch-bearer rather than a clutch-sirer, which tends to lead to certain assumptions. It was well into adulthood that he finally settled into himself and made his pronouns clear to those around him. He’s calmed down some since then: maybe some of his anxiety was due to being regularly mistaken for being a girl, if a tomboyish one.

For Z’reena’s sake, too, he’s been working hard to at least look a little more confident in himself, and over time it’s having an effect. As his little sponsor-daughter has grown up, they’ve worked on improving their social skills together, as a family project.

He’s not really sure. For Z’reena to be happy, mostly. To get really good at faking it till he actually does make it.
